The unlearning of the Knowmads
The new nomads of knowledge are here to settle down.
Raquel Roca, the author of 'Knowmads, the Workers of the Future' (Ed. Lid), defines this type of professionals: 'sociable and social who like to expand their knowledge - in network - and are prepared to learn - or unlearn if it's necessary - in an unconventional way. 'According to Roca, the Knowmads will represent 45% of the workforce in 2020. Technology, the constant digitalization of things, changes in lifestyle and the way of working are some of the factors that favor the emergence of these labor profiles.
These are nomads of knowledge who are able to carry out their work tasks from anywhere, at any time and with everyone, being valued to contextualize what they know to generate a new value. This fact leads to a drastic change around the traditional concept of work of current societies. Those who are not aware of where the future of work is headed run the risk of being left out of the labor market. Whether they are unemployed people, workers with indefinite contracts, senior positions, managers, freelancers... every one of them will affect in the same way this change of concept, mentality and conception of the world of work. New workers arrive strongly. Following them so as not to be out of play is your reach.
Are you prepared to be one of them?
