Participation and co-creation to design an effective strategy

The enrichment of a project thanks to the importance of the participatory process with more than 100 sports and non-sports agents and the collaboration between consultancies in the elaboration of the Strategic Plan of Consell Esportiu del Pla de l’Estany 

The growth in recent years of the Consell Esportiu del Pla de l'Estany (CEPE), together with the current situation of the environment and society as well as the transformation and professionalization of the sports sector led the management of the entity to the realization of a strategic plan to define where the entity should focus in the coming years. 

The intention of the CEPE management was to involve the maximum number of sports and non-sports agents in the preparation of its strategic plan so that it could be realistic, applicable and applicable to the needs of the organization's environment. Thus, Itik consultoria carried out an extensive participatory process in which qualitative information was collected from 50 in-depth interviews and the conduct of 12 group dynamics with 60 participants. 

What relevant information was gathered in the participatory process? 

The participatory process was beneficial for the analysis phase as it enriched the treatment of quantitative data from internal analysis, as well as detecting external and contextual aspects that are difficult to detect without a participatory process. The more than 100 participants in the interviews and group dynamics of the participatory process of the analysis phase of the strategic plan of the Consell Esportiu del Pla de l’Estany can be organized in the following six groups:
